About Me

My Halloween Costume for 2014.

My name is Dan Wall. I torment students at Iḷisaġvik College in Barrow Alaska. Previous to this, I menaced the students at Diné College on the Navajo Nation. Somewhere in there, I also did a stint as PR for an animal shelter, and I even taught for a year at the Robert M. Beren Academy in Houston, Texas. Mostly, my life’s work has been with tribal colleges (’Life’s work’ that’s a pretentious phrase! Ah well, I’m keeping it.) Mostly, I teach social sciences, but occasionally I get to teach something else. One of the subjects I have been lucky enough to teach on both the Navajo Nation and here on the North Slope of Alaska is an Introduction to Logic. This blog is a reflection of that teaching as well as a long term interest in the way people reason.

I also blog at northierthanthou.com. That’s where I let my sarcasm out to play.

  1. Hi there! I just wanted to extend a warm welcome and say thank you for following The World in Your Palm! We hope you enjoy our content! Your site looks interesting too! I’m excited to find new arguments for debating against my dad.
